On 4 July 2026, ECCF and LivPadel Eswatini brought sport and advocacy together at Malkerns Square for a fundraising and awareness programme focused on childhood cancer and the life-saving value of early detection. Players, families, partners and supporters gathered around a shared purpose: turning community energy into practical support for children and families facing cancer.
On 12 February 2026, the Eswatini Childhood Cancer Foundation was officially launched at Royal Villas in Ezulwini, marking a major national milestone in the response to childhood cancer. HRH Princess Buhlebetive delivered the keynote address on behalf of the Foundation’s Patron, Inkhosikati Make LaNkambule, framing the launch as the beginning of a shared journey of hope, compassion and collective responsibility so that no child in Eswatini faces cancer alone.
The gathering brought together government leaders, healthcare professionals, development partners, members of the diplomatic community and other supporters. The Foundation’s mandate was presented around three connected pillars: awareness and early detection; access to quality and timely care; and support and survivorship for children and their families. Personal survivor testimonies added a powerful human dimension to the occasion, reinforcing why earlier diagnosis, coordinated care and long-term family support matter.
